Ameritalian e' un duo formato da Greg Patton e Sonia Milan; lui viene dalla California e Sonia e' nata a Milano. Si sono incontrati grazie alla musica, mel 2005, su un sito dedicato alla musica di Cat Stevens. Da allora ad oggi hanno scritto oltre 100 canzoni e si sono esibiti in molte citta' europee. 

AmerItalian is a duet formed by Greg Patton and Sonia Milan; he comes from California and she comes from Italy.

Their meeting happened unexpectedly in 2005. Even though they lived far from each other, in different countries, they both were musicians with a deep and passionate love for music. Not knowing the other person existed, this lifetime devotion to music brought them together.

Greg and Sonia loved the same great musicians, James Taylor, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, the Bee Gees, Beatles, Eagles and Cat Stevens. This love of Cat’s music brought them together on line at a Cat Stevens fan site, www.catstevens.com, where they both had been sending in many covers of songs for four years.

The members of this site, which were like a big family from all over the world, appreciated and enjoyed the covers submitted by many of its members, because they shared the same love of Cat’s music and other musicians. They also shared their opinions of music and other topics on the fan site boards.

For many of these international members, this fan site became a second home, where they would turn on their computer first thing each morning, sometimes even before their first coffee of the day, to see if they had any private messages and to read the posts (comments) by other members on the boards. This was a time to have a laugh, agree or disagree with someone’s opinion, to check out new covers of songs and leave comments, give support for someone in need, wish someone a happy birthday and just relax before facing the day.

On one of these typical days in October 2005, Sonia found a review of her Cat cover, Lilywhite. This was not the first time she had found a review and she always replied to them, thanking the person for taking the time to listen to her song.
