Sonia Milan born in Milan and she has been playing guitar since she was 12 years old and her inspiration was Fabrizio De Andrè and Leonard Cohen in the beginning. Later in her life Bob Dylan and most of all Joan Baez, Giovanna Marini, Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini also moved her..

Once, when Sonia was 15 years old, a famous Italian singer, Gino Santercole by Celentano’s Clan, said about her: "With that voice, she can go wherever she wishes...".
She studied classical guitar with M° Abner Rossi in Milan and singing with Mary Lindsey who told her she is a mezzosoprano.

Since that moment until today, several moons of concerts and theatric performances filled up her life with great satisfactions.
She never stopped singing and playing.  Besides the guitar, Sonia has studied on musical instruments from all over the world...

When Sonia hears a song that takes her the breath away, no matter who wrote it, no matter who sang it before and in what language, that song becomes new and belongs to her, to sing and share with others. She sings classical, country, pop, blues and whatever she likes.

When Sonia was a young girl, she wished being chosen to sing in the role of Madame Butterfly in Puccini's opera, which she listened to and listened to over and over again in order to memorize the part.  It became such a part of her that many call her Ciociosan, which is Japanese for butterfly.

She appeared in the most important Italian TV and sang in the most important theater in Italy as well as open air with Studio Festi Company (www.studiofesti.com) .
She played for them Mary Poppins flying high more then 20 mt and singing live in Rome, Milan, Bologna, Barcelona, Bari, Turin. She realizes for them soundtracks for the open air shows. Since she met Greg Patton, she has been writing more then 30 songs, both in Italian and English.
